about

The soundtrack from The Tree contains music from the 2017 Never2Late feature film, The Tree, film score by Randy Bonifield.

Directed by Stephen Wallace Pruitt and written by Pruitt and his wife, Mary Settle Pruitt, The Tree is a poignant, heartwarming story of an 88-year-old widow who takes a road trip from Kansas back to Terre Haute, Indiana, to reunite with her oldest childhood friend. The film is beautifully scored by Randy Bonifield utilizing multiple piano-centered themes supported by intricate melodic orchestral scoring to tenderly tell the story of Dorothy Thorpe's trip home to Indiana.

Throughout 2017, The Tree was selected to several highly respected film festivals around the United States, receiving several awards, including the audience choice award at the Kansas City FilmFest and best feature at the Lyons International Film Festival. Heralded as the "perfect companion for the film" by The Independent Critic, Bonifield's score walks with the viewer throughout the film, serving as a wordless narrator.
